Mario's Journal:
Day 6
One of the bob-ombs was a pink bob-omb named Bombette. She told us that she was thrown in here after blowing up next to the Koopa Bros. when they overworked her. Then the Koopa Bros. sent a lot of the other bob-ombs in here as an example to others who defy them.
Goombario and Kooper were checking the walls to see if there was a way to break them down. Both noticed that part of the wall wasn't as hard as the other parts of the cell. I told Bombette we'd help break them all out. She said that in return, she'd come with us to take down the Koopa Bros.
Bombette blew up the softer part of the wall and a way was open for all of them to escape. She and the other bob-ombs were a little embarrassed that they hadn't tried that. Goombario believes that their exploding may have been the reason that part of the wall was cracking to begin with.
A couple of bob-ombs and a koopa who were guarding the cell came by, but we beat them all. The bob-ombs knew the way out of the fortress and escaped. Bombette was true to her word and stayed with us as we climbed the rest of the fortress.
The Koopa Bros. tried to stop us with a set of cannons, but with Bombette's help, we were able to destroy them. The Koopa Bros. then decided to attack us with a...Bowser suit? I'm not sure why they thought that was a good idea, but it was easy to destroy.
The Koopa Bros. themselves were fast and strong fighters. One of them managed to hit me in the head. I was dizzy for a bit, but I did come to my senses. Bombette and Kooper worked together to beat all of them at once when Goombario and I distracted them. The explosion knocked all of them off the bridge we were fighting on. Bombette said that below the bridge was the cell we were kept in. They'll be there for a while.
A magical card appeared. On the card was what looked like Eldstar. I touched the card and it turned into the Star Spirit, Eldstar! We left the fortress. I told Bombette she could go home if she wanted. Bombette said that she wanted to come with me to save Peach. Goombario had already explained to her why we were seeking and saving the Star Spirits.
Bombette is more than welcome to be part of the team. I thought she would explode on me after I told her that. Eldstar blessed me with his power and said that he would come to my aid if I called him. He ascended into the sky back to Star Haven.
The bob-ombs from the fortress arrived at Koopa Village safely.
