Mario's Journal:
Day 13
The airstrip was completely covered in piranha plants! Every time we fought them off, they just grew back. We figured out that the plants were connected to a large egg right in the center of the tarmac.
Luigi figured out that we could cut off the plants at the roots by electrocuting them. That Thunderhand really did come in handy. But then we had another problem. Once the plants were defeated for good, the egg hatched into a massive piranha plant!
We managed to defeat it for good with hammers and lightning. Those plants really don't like electricity.
Once the airstrip was finally cleaned off, the plane was able to land. Peach and Toadsworth got off the plane. Luigi and I braced ourselves for Peach's new explosive vocabulary...but it didn't happen.
It turns out her voice was never stolen at all! Peasley and Queen Bean were able to warn Peach about Cackletta's plan before she arrived, so they hired Birdo to be a decoy Peach. The only reason Peach couldn't tell us about the plan was because Bowser showed up at the worst time.
Well, I'm glad that Peach's voice wasn't stolen. Peach wants to explore more of the Beanbean Kingdom while she's here. She wants to go to a place called Little Fungitown, a village of Toads who immigrated here.
We have to escort Peach through Teehee Valley, a place full of monsters. It shouldn't be too bad, but Luigi believes we should seek out better hammers before we go there. It wouldn't hurt to be prepared.
