I hate to keep using this as an excuse but ever since I got cancer and had chemo and radiation, I go through these crazy cravings that might last weeks to months. As an example, In 2023, I ate thai roti sometimes 3 times a day. Also in 2023, 2024, 2025 so far during warmer months I have eaten 2-3 pints of home made high protein high fat ninja creami ice cream almost daily (trying to gain weight, eating liquids is the only way I can eat 5000-6500 calories per day, haven't gained a lb), pancakes every day for months at a time (not just for breakfast), and since about February this year its been grilled cheese sandwiches. Even funnier, prior to getting cancer I probably ate grilled cheese sandwiches like once or twice a year but I have had 2 grilled cheese sandwiches almost every day for 7 or 8 months .... just can't seem to kick that craving. One of the things I do though is change it up ... what started as just simple grilled cheese sandwich, home made bread, cheese, butter gets expanded over time because even though I am getting burned out on it, I still crave it. For the last couple weeks I have been putting heinz buffaranch condiment on it and its really good. A friend told me about a grilled cheese made with honey butter and peppers and I didn't have honey butter so i kinda winged my own version. By the way, if you know anything about cooking you know that any combination of sweet-n-spicy or sweet-n-sour is always a hit so I tried it and its great, even with the added buffaranch :) Try it and see (its probably cheaper to make it home made by mixing buffalo sauce and ranch dressing but it was a splurge by at a store and I like it a LOT)
I also recently took the recipe I have posted for 153+ year old cookies that I absolutely love and added strawberry rhubarb jelly to them before baking ..... now the taste combination was an absolute hit but I was kind of hangry and in a hurry when I should have chilled the dough so it made a proper dimple to hold the jam but I rushed it and a lot of the jam spilled over the sides ..... I am sure I will make these again soon and upload a video. If you have never tried these simple cookies, only 3 ingredients, you should (kind of a buttery caramel flavor - sometimes I put caramel chips in them extra) youtube.com/watch?v=sDLQe5bg_fY
