Birthday from sis failure is not an option quitting is not an option giving up is not an option
Pretty slow for me with balance issues but here is what I've decided, I will always do my best (that's no different) and if I can't run it I will walk it and if I can't walk it I will crawl it, and if I can't crawl it I'm going to hire people to turn the treadmill on its fastest speed and drop me repeatedly on the track from about 3 feet above it .... Maybe we can set up some bowling pins or something.
You just don't give up do you? I don't even know what those words mean. But let me tell you something about running, you run, your body releases chemicals like endorphins & endocannabinoids, those chemicals mask pain/discomfort/increase your mood and give you a feeling of euphoria and relaxation. Over time, you become addicted to those feelings. They can be more powerful than chemical drugs, more intoxicating than alcohol. Also, your heart becomes stronger and more efficient, that's why my resting heart rate is usually less than 40bpm. Your lung capacity increases and that requires less effort to breath efficiently under stress and maybe in the downside can also mask lung cancer. Your muscle grow stronger and more resilient, things like rolling ankles simply seldom happen. Your bones become more dense and stronger, your bones are like the foundation of your home, only for your body instead. Exercise also causes your brain to release BDNF or brain-derived neurotrophic factor, which promotes the growth of new neurons and strengthens existing neural connections. Your metabolism increases and that allows you to eat even more amazing foods without gaining weight. Your immune system gets stronger and this allows the body to better fight infections. Better blood flow on the body equates to healthier skin. Your sleep improves, unless you have cancer and nothing improves a cancer patient's sleep because we are afraid we won't wake up. Your body learns endurance and efficiency so you can do more with less energy and effort. Your body heals, adapts, and transforms and with every run it does this quicker and in less time. So even if I wanted to stop running, my mind and body won't let me. I'm like a machine that's also an over-achiever, I'm either on or off, 150% or 0%, this drives everything about me ... the way I work, the way I think, the way I solve problems, the effort I give, my determination to always win even though I think I failed once, only once ... joking, go BIG or go home ..,. There is no in-between
