We don’t have a sustainability problem. We have a data problem.
The industry is investing millions in sustainability, supported by hotel chains, certification programs, standards frameworks, and reporting initiatives across the industry. Yet much of this progress still struggles to translate into measurable commercial performance and competitive advantage.
The opportunity is not to just create more sustainability data, but to better connect, verify and activate the data that already exists. When sustainability performance is trusted, comparable and visible across the travel ecosystem all the way to the traveler at point-of-sale, it becomes a powerful driver of demand, differentiation, and smarter investment decisions.
This session brings together leaders from hotels, booking platforms, global industry alliances and technology providers to explore how standards alignment, independent verification and interoperable data are enabling sustainability to move beyond compliance and reporting toward measurable business value. As sustainability performance becomes increasingly transparent and comparable, it is shifting from brand narrative to strategic performance lever.
The winners in sustainable hospitality will not simply be those who act, but those who can prove, benchmark, and activate their impact. #Hospitality #Data #hotel
