How to crochet a super chunky earwarmer featuring the Tunisian Simple Stitch, which is a great stitch pattern for beginners to advanced. Worked in super bulky yarn, this earwarmer works up pretty quickly, and there are 4 sizes included so you can make one for everybody in the family.
You'll need 45 (60, 60, 60) Yards of Super Chunky Weight Yarn – I used Lion Brand’s Wool Ease Thick n Quick in the Gray Marble colorway for the Adult Small size, a M13/9mm Tunisian Crochet Hook & Small Cable, a Tapestry Needle to weave in ends and a Soft Tape Measure (Gauge is Essential).

The adult small size took me about 45 minutes.
Sizes Included:
Toddler, Child, Adult Small & Adult Large
Gauge - Measured in Pattern:
- 8 TSS = 3 3/8" Wide or 10 TSS = 4" Wide
- 6 Rows from Beginning (forward pass + return pass = 1 row) = 3 7/8" Tall
Gauge is not terribly essential, but measuring your piece is. I recommend working up about 4 rows, then measure the width to see where you are. This will be the width of your earwarmer, as noted above. Heightwise, the most important thing is to measure the finished piece to ensure it is the correct size so it will fit well.
