Learn how to add a hanging loop to a crocheted washcloth so you can easily dry your crocheted dishcloth or keep it stored out of the way until you're ready to use it. The bonus is the hanging loop will also keep your washcloth from falling down.
The washcloths I am showing the tutorial for are my Haylee ones as part of my 2024 Mystery Washcloth Crochet a Long, but you can easily work this tutorial into any single crochet border on a washcloth.

![Through the Window Mosaic Crochet Afghan Border in the Back Loop 💙💚 | EyeLoveKnots
In my last video, I touched on working into the side edge to work the first round of the border on my afghan. For the remaining rounds, Ive decided on [US] single crochet worked into the back loop only. It creates a beautiful ribbed fabric with a ridge, and I just love it! And its easy to work too!
💙To single crochet into the back loop only (or SC into the BLO): rather than inserting into the stitch to pick up both loops of the V shape, insert your hook into the top center of the stitch. Push your hook towards the back, or wrong side of the fabric, picking up just the back loop of the stitch on your hook. Finish the stitch as normal (ie yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through both loops).

![How to Crochet Evenly Around Half Double Crochet | Yarn Crafts and Coffee
You just finished working a half double crochet project, and now you want to add a round of single crochet evenly around it. Let me show you how!
This round of single crochet will add a nice finishing touch, or serve as the foundation of additional rounds of a border.
The general rule is different for different stitch patterns, but to crochet evenly into half double crochet fabric, the rule is 3 stitches per 2 rows along the edges.
Tutorial is shown with (US) single crochets working into half double crochet fabric, but if you want to change up the stitch for the border, the same concept applies.

![How to Crochet Squares Together Using the Continuous Join and Pull Loop Through Method - Part 3
Today, we use the Pull Loop Through Join to crochet our squares together.
✨️ SC = US Single Crochet
✨️ PLT = Pull Loop Through
✨️ We left off having single crocheted into the bottom right chain space of the next square, [PLT begins here] pulled up a loop and removed our crochet hook.
💙 Insert the crochet hook into the next stitch on the previous square from the front of the fabric, picking up both loops as normal.
💙 Place the loop back on the crochet hook and pull it down to normal tension, then pull it through [finished PLT join for this stitch].
💙 Continue in this manner up to the chain space: SC into the next stitch on the current square. Pull up the loop and remove the crochet hook. Insert the crochet hook into the next stitch from the previous square. Place the loop back onto the crochet hook and tighten down to normal tension, then pull through.
💙 In the corner chain space, SC into the chain space of the current square and PLT.
💙 Chain 1, then flip the fabric over so the back is facing up.
💙 SC into the chain space of the previous square, then flip the fabric back over so the front of the fabric is facing again.
💙 SC into the chain space from the current square.
💙 SC into each SC along the top, then...
❤️ If you need to add more squares in this row, (SC, chain 2, SC) in the next chain space, SC into each SC down the side, SC into the next chain space. Repeat the process as needed.
❤️ If you are done adding squares and ready to move onto the next row, SC into the next chain space.
✨️ In Part 4, well begin the next row.
✨️ You can crochet your own squares or see other projects in my Terran series, which features one single square, #elkccycc_terran
✨️ or if you like larger projects with many squares joined together, like this blanket, then you will want to check out my Maddie series, #elkccycc_maddie
🧶 For this square, I am using Lion Brand Yarn Pound of Love that we carry in our yarn shop, YarnCraftsandCoffee.com.
