On November 11, 2025. An officer from the UW-Whitewater Police Department was contacted by a student who stated that an individual named Amar had stolen a bluetooth speaker from her. The officer went to the female's residence where she further explained that Amar was acting “crazy” and refused to leave her room.
While the officer was speaking with the reporting party, Amar appeared in the doorway and stated that the female tried to hit him with the door. Amar claimed that the female began yelling and snapping in his face so he “Matched her energy”. He then began arguing with the female through the closed door so the officer asked Amar to step further down the hallway. Amar stated "I'm fine here” and continued to argue through the closed door.
He denied stealing the speaker and stated that it was defamation of character to accuse him of doing so. Amar began raising his voice and using profane language while referencing the female. He then began arguing with the female again through the closed door and was told to move further down the hall. The officer began escorting him down the hall when Amar stated “I didn't give you permission to touch me”. The officer then explained to Amar that he was currently under arrest for disorderly conduct and placed him in handcuffs.
Amar then asked someone to come out of a nearby room and told them to call his mother. He mentioned that his grandfather was a lawyer and stated “Y'all didn't even read me my rights which is illegal”. Amar was then searched and placed in a squad car before being transported to the UW-Whitewater Police Department. He was found guilty for Disorderly Conduct and required to pay a $295 fine.
