Scientists have discovered a new type of alien planet — a steamy Waterworld that is larger than Earth but smaller than Uranus. The exoplanet of this new class is called GJ 1214b, also known as Gliese 1214b. It is 42 light-years away from the Earth and was discovered in November 2009.
