Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR 1) - Walkthrough Part 6: Completing Taris, Sith Base & Leaving on the Ebon Hawk (No Commentary)
Welcome back to my Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic walkthrough! This is the newly re-recorded and fully completed Part 6, spanning over 2 hours of gameplay.
After discovering a major mistake in my original 2020 playthrough (and the half-finished 2021 upload), where I missed looting Brejik's body after the Swoop Race, I reloaded an older save to ensure Bastila Shan finally has her iconic yellow double-bladed lightsaber. I also decided to finally finish the Taris chapter after a failed attempt in 2024 where I died against the Sith Governor/Padawan boss without saving.
In this video, I load up right before talking to the Twi'lek merchant to purchase the T3-M4 droid companion. With the droid secured, I take some time to explore Upper and Lower Taris to help viewers get back into the story. We talk to various NPCs in and outside the cantina, including Zelka Forn (the older man healing people) and the young man who needs the Rakghoul serum. You will also notice that Mission Vao looks completely different in this playthrough, using a mod that changes her appearance to look like a caucasian human with blonde hair (where her lekku/tentacles resemble hair).
Before heading to the Sith Base, I save the game and try to defeat Bendak Starkiller in the arena, but I lose badly twice. I then move on to infiltrate the Sith Base alongside my female main character, T3-M4, and Bastila Shan. After a tough battle against the Sith Governor boss, we successfully secure the launch codes.
Next, we head down to the Lower City Cantina and talk to Canderous Ordo, who agrees to join our team to help us steal the Ebon Hawk from Davik. However, before following him to Davik's Estate, I decide to go back and settle the score with Bendak Starkiller. After a long, challenging duel that required heavy use of medpacs and energy shields, I finally defeat him and claim his blaster and equipment.
With the arena finished, we proceed to Davik's Estate. As Malak's orbital bombardment begins, we fight our way through the base, freeing a tortured prisoner who gives us the codes needed to reach the hangar. This leads to a boss fight against Davik Kang and Calo Nord. After looting Davik's body for his unique armor and surviving a tricky space turret minigame, we finally escape the destruction of Taris and arrive safely on Dantooine.
