In this video, Spitting Image, released in 1988 for the Atari ST by Domark.
Choose one of the six most powerful men in the (mid '80s) world and crush all the others in this beat'em up fighting game. The goal is simple, you want all the power in the world and you'll fight to the death to have it all.
The Six top leaders of the world are: Michail Gorbachev, Margaret Thatcher, The Pope, Ronald Reagan, The Ayatollah and President "Adolf".
Domark have acquired the rights to make a videogame out from the funny, satiric television show with the same name and the result is a missed opportunity.
The graphics are well drawn, accurate, very similar to the TV show' style, while the sound is composed of a good chiptune by Whittaker and STandard sound fx. The controls seems good but the lack of variety of moves make every fight the same as the previous, but the most important thing is that the fun simply isn't there. There are attempts at humour, but nothing remotely funny.
