In this video we're going to be getting started with the Sovol SV06 ACE 3D printer - I'll walk you through everything from the unboxing to our first print using the SV06 ACE and a large variety of other print examples.
I will also show you how to get started with OrcaSlicer and how to send files to the Sovol SV06 ACE wirelessly and take timelapse videos of your projects using the onboard camera.

The Sovol SV06 ACE features a 220 x 220 x 250mm build volume and many of the usual offerings of a modern 3D printer. This includes a touch screen, wifi connectivity, on board time-lapse camera, and full Klipper install with auto bed levelling and even z tilt adjustment. You can also purchase the machine with a one year professional subscription to Obico for your full featured remote 3D printer control system.
OrcaSlicer is the default slicer with some basic presets for the SV06 ACE, and as time goes on I suspect Sovol and the community will build out more material presets. The PLA general preset is suitable for very popular filament brands from my testing such as eSun, Polymaker, etc.

Overall, I would recommend the Sovol SV06 ACE for beginner and advanced users alike. Despite the frame appearing to look similar to the regular SV06 it is actually heavily upgraded with reinforced extrusions and 10mm z-axis guide rods. Klipper firmware speeds things up to a max print speed of 600mm/s with resonance compensation, etc.
I am interested to see how further the SV06 ACE progresses with further firmware updates and print profiles. This would make it even easier for beginners to get started with at the amazing entry level price it is offered at.
If you are new to 3D printing I still think you should have realistic expectations of the learning curve involved with the hobby. The machine works well out of the box but if you happen to run into issues you will likely get frustrated at first. Take a deep breath, stick with it and don't give up! It doesn't matter if you have a Creality, Bambu Lab, or any other popular high speed printer of this era, eventually you will need to do some troubleshooting. Stick with it!
