I got to test out the new Sony FE85mm f/1.4GMII lens last week at Kando out in California. It was epic--the lens and the trip. I put the new 85mm through its paces shooting both portraits as well as some dance performance action. I am thoroughly impressed all the way around. it's really sharp, it's really fast, and it's really lightweight. Even though it's heavier than my current 85mm f/1.8, the new lens will replace it for sure. I can't wait to shoot some basketball, volleyball, and karate with it. the new lens is due to ship at the end of September in 2024. SONY FE70-200 f/4 G MACRO OSS II lens Launched today! July 12, 2023, Sony announces its 50th Full frame lens and its a dandy. Ive been shooting it since June 9th and absolutely love it for its speed, accuracy, sharpness, and lack of weight and bulk.
