After watching thxdeeply's video on Shoddy Genesis Emulators, it inspired me to try out one of the old versions of DGen, particularly Version 1.17, so I decided to try the emulator out for myself! Honestly, as an early Sega Genesis emulator, it's not that bad! Graphics aren't emulated the best, sure, and the sound is somewhat accurate but is slightly low pitched like another old Genesis emulator I also tried out called Megasis. And the sound accurate part? That's with the MJazz option turned off, but when turned on, the sound emulation is very different and not as accurate, but man I love how it sounds turned on. I mean, most of the music sounds pretty nice with the MJazz option turned on, though as for the sound effects, some of them are oddly bass boosted which causes them to be louder than usual, so yeah, headphone users who are watching this, beware.
There's apparently even different Graphics Engine modes, ranging from different graphics that try to be accurate, to ones that are broken and don't display properly. I chose Mac/Joe's Line-Based engine, which while accurate, also causes glitched graphics appearing to the very right of the screen for some reason, which might be due to the screen size being slightly larger? But I'm not sure, though it's the most accurate looking aside from that issue. And no, I couldn't remove the bilinear filtering unfortunately, and it only looks clear when not upscaled.
I'm also aware that there are later versions of DGen which of course, improve the emulator's emulation when it comes to the graphics & sound, but I prefer the old versions due to their interesting features, especially DGen v1.17's MJazz sound feature. I wish more Genesis emulators had interesting features like that honestly, because I think it would be unique if there was an AtGames sound emulation feature or something for some other Genesis emulator out there.

![Doraemon Obby [Testing] (Roblox Game) by kiritoGMMonDev - Full Longplay
Finally, its about time I got around to playing this obby. Ive been suggested from DZTVE to do this Roblox game for a while now, and thankfully, its one of the things Ive actually finally got to doing after several months of not doing it. Unfortunately, I cant say the same for some other things currently.
But anyways, I havent played Roblox or a Doraemon Obby in a while, so heres one thats still in testing. So far, I really like it! It definitely stays true to the Doraemon series, basically being Nobitas house you explore in. However, halfway through, for some reason it turns into a Minecraft Obby? My mind was thinking this is just a reskin of some Minecraft Obby that had the assets free to use, but perhaps maybe the creator was just into Minecraft and wanted to throw that in there randomly or something.
Honestly, I dont have a whole lot to say about this one, its just a pretty fun and short obby so far! And its been updated since October 13th 2025, so hopefully there will be new updates for this obby for this year. For now though, I already have some other Doraemon Roblox games Ive recorded to upload on this channel.
