It's been a while since I've played a Mega Man hack, and of course, I decided to play one from an old friend, that being Cap Man & Friends! This hack is basically a semi-homage to crappost hacks, which to be honest, I don't think I've played much crappost hacks related to the Mega Man series since I can't really think of any that stands out.
Anyways, this hack was definitely a pretty good time! Basically, all of the Robot Masters are like screwed up versions of the originals, each relating to some sort of franchise or whatever, and I gotta say, while it's definitely crapposty, I honestly like their goofy designs! I mean, Fire Man is called Eric and he's basically just a Red Batman, what's not to like of that? And as for the music, it's also screwed up renditions of music from Mega Man 1 and Mega Man 2, and I also really like the renditions in this game as well!
Now, as for the way I recorded the ROM hack, I actually tried something different this time. Inspired by a YouTube comment on one of my Sonic longplay videos, they suggested that I should use the Record Movie function in BizHawk first, and then record it back in OBS afterwards so that my rewinding isn't on display, which is exactly what I did! So that might explain why some of my gameplay looks more flawless than usual, and expect to see it in some more longplays.
Overall, I didn't have a lot to say about this hack, it was just pretty fun to play, and it's also been a while since I've played a hack one of my friends made, so that was also a neat bonus for longplaying this hack! To be honest, I wish yellowsolinto15 was back in my friend group's server maybe... though I'm guessing they were originally problematic back then which is why they can't join? I'm not sure, but even if I don't talk to them often on Discord or anywhere else, I still really enjoyed playing their hack!
