Grassdigger | SMO: Wall Kicks Will Work ... Eventually @grassdigger8695 | Uploaded March 2018 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Here, I show the art of wall-jumping up walls that are spread out. After wall-jumping, throw the cap into the other wall, move into the cap, and cap twirl before the next wall-jump.
First, I climb a wall in Seaside Kingdom. I know that I could jump up from the top of one of the boxes, but this was for demonstration purposes.
Then, I climb to the top of the Lost Kingdom without pounding the red button in the ground. The middle section is easier than in Seaside, but the top section is very difficult. First, I need to explain how wall-jumps work. As long as 2 walls are facing away from each other, then you can always pull off a wall-jump. However, if 2 walls are not facing in opposite directions, then you cannot wall-jump any higher than the height you previously wall-jumped.
Now, at the top section in Lost Kingdom, notice that I cannot get much height off of the left or right wall, since I hit my head. However, I could get more height if I wall-jump off of the back wall. But I cannot wall-jump off of this wall any higher than I previously wall-jumped on the left or right wall. Thus, I try to wall-jump in the very corner of the left or right wall. Then, I head to the center of the back wall, wall-jump as high as possible, turn around, and dive. This gives me just barely enough height to make it to the very top of Lost Kingdom.
