I’ve spoken before about my big dreams — for this channel, for my creative life, and for the future I hope to build. But this year, I don’t want to live solely in what’s ahead. I want to savour what’s already here.
I don’t really believe in resolutions. I believe in intentions — gentle ones that don’t demand perfection or constant progress. And while we can absolutely dream big, I don’t want the pursuit of those dreams to eclipse the small joys that make life feel rich and meaningful along the way.
In this video, I share some of the small joys I want more of this year, including:
🌿 Reading slowly and joyfully, without urgency
🌿 Swimming — for presence, nostalgia, and peace of mind
🌿 Rediscovering my love of writing, without deadlines or expectations
🌿 Gardening as a quiet promise to the future
🌿 Spending more time with people I love
🌿 Learning through DIY and crafting, not for perfection, but for fun
These aren’t goals I’m tracking, or habits I’m optimising. They’re not written in a planner or attached to deadlines. They simply exist — settled quietly on the back burner of my mind, waiting for the right moment to surface.
I believe that contentment isn’t always found in doing more, but in noticing more. And this year, I want to live in a way that allows space for that noticing.
