Yes. That’s right.
While I was away enjoying the glitz and glamour of Dita Von Teese, a certain dynamic duo decided to take over my channel.
In today’s episode, Jack (and my lovely mum as off-camera camera operator) secretly continued work on the 100-year-old fireplace tiles I rescued in my last video… and attempted to vlog the whole thing.
Bold.
Brave.
Reckless, perhaps.
Of course, while they may have filmed it — the editing was left to me. 😏
Just remember Jack… I do love you.
This video captures:
• A mini surprise episode presented by Jack with my mum offering off-camera 'assistance'...
• The surprise reveal when I came home
• Cutting delicate off-cuts with an angle grinder (no pressure…)
• Filling cracks with professional adhesive and jade green colourant
• Me attempting tile restoration with 90 seconds before the mixture hardens
• A big reveal! 🔥
We are officially in proper restoration territory now.
The tiles are in place, the broken fragments have been fitted, and now it’s time to address the cracks — carefully, quickly, and with just a tiny bit of winging it energy.
Also… can I just say, 200,000 subscribers?!
What a milestone. I genuinely cannot believe this little corner of the internet has grown into such a beautiful community. Thank you for being here. Truly.
This project has become something much bigger than a fireplace. It’s about custodianship, teamwork, trust, and occasionally letting your boyfriend borrow your camera (at his own risk).
More restoration to come… and perhaps fewer secret filming missions.
