On June 16th, 2023, I said goodbye to my beloved pigeon, Penny—a truly extraordinary bird who changed my life in ways I never expected. As you may have noticed, today marks the anniversary of her passing.
In honour of our story, I’m finally sharing a video I recorded two years ago with Penny herself—my feathered little celebrity, where we share exactly what happened at the pub on that fabled night...
This video has been thoughtfully re-edited since Penny’s passing, with care to preserve the warmth and connection we shared. It also tells the story of how I unexpectedly became the keeper of a flock of pigeons—something I never planned. Seems to be the story of my life!
