This video shows how your Mac's internal storage SSD drive gets slower as it fill up. Even with a lot of spare space, the storage is a lot slower compared to when it has more free space. In the video I am using an M4 Max MacBook Pro with the 1TB internal SSD. To help demonstrate this issue I have used a very fast external Thunderbolt 5 SSD storage drive, which due to its very fast speed, helps to show this issue with the Mac’s internal storage. The Thunderbolt 5 SSD used is the ACASIS TB501 Pro Thunderbolt 5 NVMe SSD enclosure with the 4TB variation of the WD Black SN850X Gen 4 NVMe SSD.
