This is the 2TB SK Hynix X31 Beetle, it's a really small portable USB-C 10Gb/s external storage SSD drive. In this video I'm just giving you an idea of its performance with the M4 Max MacBook Pro.
Yes, the new Mac computers that have Thunderbolt 5 can work at much higher speeds than 10Gb/s with an external Thunderbolt 5 SSD. However, if you just need something small and super convenient for those tasks where you don't need super fast high speed storage but need something simple and convenient, this may be a really good option.
It also pairs well with the new M4 MacBook Air and the M4 Mac mini. In both cases this 2TB external SSD gives you a lot of extra storage over the 256GB base versions of both those Macs. This SSD will also work with any Apple Silicon Mac.
I will be doing a full review of this 2TB SK Hynix USB-C SSD with the M4 MacBook Air. So keep an on the channel for that video.
