Sky Pond is a very popular hike in RMNP, and can be done year-round. Winter is a good time to do it IMO as it’s much less crowded and you are more likely to have the lake to yourself with jaw dropping 360° views. I took the winter trail up and regular trail down on this occasion. Total hiking stats from Glacier Gorge TH: 8.2 miles, with 1750’ elevation gain
