Caribou backcountry area is located near Nederland just outside of Indian Peaks Wilderness. It offers abundant opportunities for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ski touring. On 3/8/25 I skinned up to the top of Caribou Glade just below Bald Mountain at 11,200’, walked outside of wilderness boundary to get some drone shots, then skied all the way back down to the trailhead. It was a fun half day adventure on a beautiful bluebird day
