On this occasion we set out to scramble Hammerhead/Yodeling Moves by way of Regency/Royal Arch starting from NCAR trailhead. It took us a couple of tries to find the base of Hammerhead formation just north of Royal Arch Trail. The scramble up the east ridge of Hammerhead (400’ long, class 4+ - 5.0) was relatively straightforward with decent holds. The fun part was in the middle where we climbed on top of a large (and thin) natural arch. At the top we proceeded to the west side of the summit block, where we found the famous Yodeling Moves route. It’s rated as 5.0 but highly exposed, an exciting finish to this classic scramble. The views of 3rd-5th Flatiron and Royal Arch from the top of this formation are second to none
