Long admired by his contemporaries yet largely forgotten today, Nicolas Siret (1663–1754) was one of the most refined voices of the French Baroque. A contemporary and friend of François Couperin, Siret composed harpsichord suites of striking elegance, poetic nuance, and expressive depth.
