For nine years, Beau lived in a tiny cage on cold concrete, pacing back and forth while tourists pointed, laughed, and took selfies. We fought for years to free him, but every attempt was blocked. And now, with his health failing, the spa that profited from his misery has finally handed him over — not out of compassion, but because he was no longer of any use to them.
Beau is now safe in the care of our partners FPWC, but freedom from his cage doesn’t mean freedom from suffering. His body is frail, his spirit is scarred, and he urgently needs costly medical treatment, proper food, and round-the-clock care if he’s ever to have a chance at recovery.
