Brianna Joy Garza and I get into one of my favorite questions to ask players: what percentage of the jump shot is mental?⁣

For a good high school shooter, we both landed on the same number independently, 70%. Once the body understands the motion to get the ball up and toward the rim, the game moves upstairs. It becomes about self belief, taking the shot in a slump, and correcting your form without gripping up.⁣

I think most people coach the mechanics and completely ignore this side of it. That's a mistake. #shorts
