Scripting the entire game instead of just throwing bodies out there randomly is such an underrated coaching tool. Five plays for the starters, five for the second unit, back and forth, all the way through preseason. The result wasn't more possessions, it was a team that played fast in the half court because every single guy knew exactly where he needed to be.
The part I love most is admitting the first half numbers lagged while the second half numbers were great simply because he could see the floor and call sets. That's not an excuse, that's data. And scripting the first half to fix it is exactly the kind of adjustment I want every coach making. #shorts
