Here’s something new I decided to do for the channel, iOS longplays! Now, this is not something I’ll be doing often, since I’ll still mainly be using BlueStacks for recording Android games, plus the fact that APKs don’t need to be installed on a jailbroken device and it has a much larger game library (albeit more sloppy in the 2020s age we’re living in), but I at least find it a neat novelty for iOS exclusives, plus iOS devices have a much better screen recorder than Mobizen on Android ever will be. But anyways, this is Sesame Street’s The Monster at the End of This Book starring Grover, which is undeniably a childhood classic of mine.
Now of course, I never played it when I was younger for two reasons, one being that I never owned an iOS device, and second being the fact that it costed money, which I couldn’t really do when I was really young since I didn’t own a credit/debit card obviously, but that didn’t matter since I never owned an iOS device anyways. Though, I did feel childhood and nostalgia by watching others’ longplays of this game back then, and man I always loved the art style of this game and it’s sequel.
But now in the year 2025 where I am a young adult (18 years old), I finally decided to purchase this game with my paycheck/saving money and give it a whirl! I bought this from the bundle featuring it’s sequel as well, since there was a 25% discount for the bundle, so that made it worth it for me! But yeah, I really liked the simple interactions you can do in this game, making Grover repeat certain phrases that are written in big or highlighted, and even other interactions like breaking Grover’s brick wall! Now of course that also means it’s animated, which is much better than an eBook in my opinion, and man the animations are great! They sure did know how to bring a storybook to life with this.
So overall, now that I finally played this game for myself, I really liked it! It’s probably not the same experience as the old versions considering the ad for More Sesame Street Games being plastered on, but besides that, it’s the same overall great experience I got from watching other longplays when I was a young lad!
