Established in 1948, the annual Poteet Strawberry Festival began as a way to incentivize returning World War II veterans to resume farm work. The modern event celebrates local growers and raises funds for youth scholarships with a rodeo and strawberry auction. The 1994 Poteet Strawberry Festival welcomed Tejano music sensation Selena y Los Dinos, fresh off winning their first Grammy Award for Best Mexican/American Album. In this concert footage, the band performs their new hit song, "Amor Prohibido."
