🚨 In 1980, protecting Montrose meant looking out for one another.

This KPRC-TV news segment follows members of the Montrose Patrol, a volunteer community watch group formed in response to frequent harassment and violence against LGBTQ+ people in the neighborhood. Patrolling on foot and by car, volunteers worked to deter crime and report incidents—building visibility, solidarity, and cooperation with Houston police along the way.
