Held at Quiet Valley Ranch since 1972, the Kerrville Folk Festival is the oldest music festival in Texas. The annual event has featured more than 1,500 artists since its inception, from iconic singer-songwriters like Townes Van Zandt and Willie Nelson to popular folk bands like the Indigo Girls and Peter, Paul and Mary. But the music is not limited to the stages. As this 1988 promotional film segment illustrates, the "rhythm continues day and night" with impromptu jam sessions breaking out across campsites.
