Hey everyone, Coach Juan here to make sure you know that public and private schools in Marion County start up next week. School buses will be back on the road and, if you didn’t know, penalties have been doubled if you pass a stopped school bus.
How do you know when you have to stop? Here is how:
TWO-LANE:
Vehicles traveling in both directions MUST stop.
MULTI-LANE PAVED ACROSS:
Vehicles traveling in both directions MUST stop.
DIVIDED HIGHWAY:
[Unpaved space (Min. 5ft) OR any raised median or physical barrier.]
Vehicles behind the bus MUST stop.
Vehicles traveling in the opposite direction must proceed with caution.
Remember citizens, our future is riding on those buses. Let’s make sure to protect them and other drivers on the road. Stay safe citizens, Coach Juan out!
