During the Second World War Germany is perhaps most famous for its use of jet and rocket powered aircraft. Many other nations either attempted or used similar planes during the war. But one nation which is not considered a user of this technology would be the Soviet Union. However in 1940 work began on a secret rocket powered plane known as the BI-1. So in today's video we answer the question, did Russia use rocket powered planes in WWII?
