Japan's involvement during the Second World War is mostly shown in historical images as fighting in tropical environments across Asia and the Pacific. However, while most of their training did involve this type of warfare, some Japanese troops actually trained in winter warfare, particularly in the snow. This would include cross country skiing and fighting manoeuvres in the snow. But did they actually ever fight in this terrain? Well in today's video we look at Japan's winter soldiers in WW2.
