In February 1942, the HNLMS Abraham Crijnssen of the Dutch Navy, found itself isolated following the battle of the java sea. Its only way out? To disguise itself as an island of course! In this video we look at perhaps the craziest escape plan of WW2. As the Abraham Crijnssen's crew manages to disguise the ship as an island in order to escape the Japanese Forces and make its way safely to Australia!
