A rock/metal cover titled 'Rock Anthem For Saving The World' from the video game Halo: Combat Evolved (Halo 1).
Halo has always been a game I enjoyed, so a cover was always a plan, but this was an interesting arrangement to make, to say the least!
The original song is pretty short, as it's basically the guitar solo and the build up. In order to have more fun with it and make it a full song, I took a lot of creative liberties (sorry!) and added more riffs and keeping up that epic feel, but it's all based from the original chord progression played by the string section. The main solo was obviously the hardest thing about the cover, I tried to play it as close to the original so hopefully I did it justice!
This cover was done back in 2017 as part of a video game music cover album, 'A Generation's Legacy', from my band Oroborus back when there were only two of us. This is why the mixing isn't as good and up to date, but hopefully still enjoyable!
