So after a couple of years of allowing my Cairdeas line from Laphroaig to oxidize, I decided to compare the new 2016 Madeira Cask finished Cairdeas against the 2015 (200th Anniversary), 2014 (Amontillado Sherry Cask), & the 2013 (Port Finish). Right now, I feel the 2016 has some issues, but if it develops like the Port one did, it may eventually be a really nice Cairdeas to own.
As of 09-06-2016, my current bottle count stands at over 2,350 bottles. I am a Certified Specialist of Spirits and have also been certified by the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT). I've been actively collecting for the last two decades and what started as a small basic home bar has transformed (with the help and understanding of my wonderful wife) into what I think is a pretty nice collection.
