Once the king of coal hauling, SD70MAC's have become a rare breed in the modern railroading. Seeing them in mainline service, let alone leading a hotshot Z train is rare these days. Compounding this, is seeing one STILL in Burlington Northern colors!!
In this video, we'll chase BNSF 9650, which is still in its famed BN Executive colors as it leads a HOT Z-SSECHE stack train. While I've chased many trains on the Staples Sub, and Twin Cities area, this one went FAST! Starting out in Lincoln, the trains races past in the early morning sun. After this, we'll see it a few more times before it hits the Twin Cities. After performing a quick setout, we'll see it under the classic signals of Hoffman Ave, and lastly in Prescott, WI. An added bonus as the trailing unit, BNSF 1020, and H1 C44-9W. This consist is right out of the mid 90s!
