The Montana Rail Link will disappear into the history books at the end of 2023, and will become part of the BNSF Railway. Having been established in October of 1987, it grew to become one the of renowned and well known regional railroads in all of North America. This video highlights a few times when MRL power came to Minnesota, over the past few years.
In this clip, we'll some of the few times I caught MRL power when it visited Minnesota. Over the years, power would stray over this way, and it was nice to get a taste of this neat railroad. While I never got out to the MRL itself, it was a treat to see, and catch these few trains over the years. Lets hope the MRL power stays with BNSF Railway for MANY years after the merger.
