After 16 years of service, Minnesota's Northstar Commuter Train to Minneapolis has come to an end. Lets take a ride on it, see this train when it still ran, watch it in better days, and learn why it was terminated.
We'll watch this train run on nearly every part of it's 40 mile route from Big Lake, MN to Minneapolis, MN and back. Starting at the neat maintennce facility in Big Lake, one can get a cool closeup view of where the trains were maintained. Following this, we'll explore the entire line, and get some cool views along the way. To tie it all together, we'll get to see the very last train roaring the tracks, and screaming out of Minneapolis. It was a neat 16 years of operation, while it lasted!
