Predator Badlands review: a risk worth taking or a failed experiment.
In this video I'm reviewing the new film in the Predator franchise - Predator Badlands. I have been a huge fan of both Alien and Predator since my childhood and while I have a strong preference for the classics, Disney has in the recent years given us a lot of content to watch, Prey, Alien Romulus, Predator Killer of Killers, Alien Earth and now Predator Badlands. I found both Prey and Alien Romulus to be quite excellent but what are my thoughts on predator Badlands?
Predator Badlands is unlike any other film in the Alien and Predator universe. For a Predator film, it's very experimental and daring, but for Disney it's a repeated formula of what we have seen in their Marvel and Star Wars productions.
In this review I provide my thoughts on the story, pacing, action, characters, the PG-13 rating, Yautja culture and Yautja language as well as the connection to the Alien films, specifically the inclusion of the Weyland-Yutani corporation and their synthetics.
