I'm writing a book on detransition.
I'm a male detransitioned who has been making content on the topic of detransitioner for over a year. I have documented most aspects of my journey through transition and detransition in my early videos and later on focused making more thematic videos related to anything trans and detrans as well as other topics such as philosophy, politics, social issues and mental health.
In may this year i started writing an autobiographical book on the subject of detransition in which i cover the various factors that can lead to someone transitioning, what the process of transition looked like for me, the rush towards surgery, regret, detransition and finally finding hope, meaning and acceptance after living through this experience. The book will describe in detail my experience with sex reasignment surgery in Bangkok Thailand as well as my experience with with hormone replacement therapy and the treatment received from doctors and therapists.
The book will be partially autobiographical and partially reflective and philosophical and cover various subjects ranging from the nature of gender dysphoria to the ontological structures of sex and gender and discussing various ways in which transition regret can be minimised.
I hope this book will be relevant not only to other detransitioners and people who have an interest in this phenomenon but also to anyone who has been struggling with trauma and mental health or those who have problem with accepting their sexuality and finally, i hope it may be a step in bringing trans people and detransitioners closer together and have more open discussions.
This is my second big writing project alongside another book i'm writing which focused on technological development, transhumanism and human nature from an ethical and metaphysical perspective.
Last year i made a video titled "my detransition story: the dark truth behind gender dysphoria and transition regret" and have continued discussing the subject of detransition ever since. I have collaborated with other detransitioners such as Ritche Herron and Shape Shifter and have had video discussions with Buck Angel both on my channel and on Buck Angel's channel. I have also appeared in a documentary directed by Jennifer Lahl titled "Lost Boys: Searching for Manhood" alongside 4 other detransitoners, including Ritchie Herron.
