Scientists from #scientistrebellion Germany blocked Autobahn traffic in Berlin early on 5.7.2022 to remind the Federal Government of the scientific facts & the threat of collapse of the climate, ecosystems and society.
Janine O'Keefe, co-founder of @fridaysforfuture, confidante of @gretathunberg and qualified scientist, also joined the blockade. The @ipcc is extremely clear on the threats and necessary action, the @unep reports are based on the life's work of thousands of scientists.Instead of acknowledging reality, taking responsibility & protecting the lives of millions of people, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is having scientists removed from the street with pain grips.
Dr. Nana-Maria Grüning, a biologist at Berlin Charité, was seen by a physician. "If Olaf Scholz's policy is so far removed from reality that he would rather muzzle scientists with pain grips, where does that leave us?” - Lea Bonasera, co-founder of @letztegeneration and herself a doctoral student and who was also removed from the road with a scalpel earlier this year.
"It really hurt, and was completely unnecessarily - the Berlin police are using this technique as a punishment to silence peaceful people resisting the destruction of our society, our livelihoods, our children" - Prof. Dr. Niko Froitzheim, geologist at the University of Bonn on his treatment by Berlin Police.
"Although it would have been easy to carry me away, the police decided to use pain compliance to drag me off the street (injured both wrists). The reason given: I had committed a non-violent criminal offence and therefore it would be appropriate to inflict undue pain on me... doesn't the court system impose sentences and punishments? I took part in the action to point out the scientific facts about the escalating climate crisis - a development that threatens to deprive us all of a safe and liveable future." - Dr. Nana-Maria Grüning.
Gandhi once said: "Civil disobedience becomes a sacred duty when the state has become lawless or corrupt. Acitizen who cooperates with such a State shares in its corruption and lawlessness."
Peaceful resistance to Olaf Scholz & his government will continue until the destruction stops, voices of reason in our society won’t be silenced with pain but by respecting the right to live for billions of people.

Schmerzgriffen mundtot machen
Berlin, 05.07.2022 - Gestern Morgen haben Wissenschaftler:innen der Gruppe
Scientist Rebellion Germany den Berliner Verkehr lahmgelegt, um die Bundesregierung die
wissenschaftliche Tatsache zu erinnern, dass der Kollaps des Klimas, ganzer
Ökosysteme und schließlich der Gesellschaft droht, wenn nicht im Notfalltempo der
Ausstoß von CO2 beendet wird. Mit dabei war auch die Mitbegründerin von Fridays for
Future und Vertraute von Greta Thunberg, Janine O'Keeffe.
Die obigen Tatsachen sind im IPCC-Bericht niedergeschrieben, der von den Vereinten
Nationen herausgegeben wird und auf dem Lebenswerk von tausenden
Wissenschaftler:innen basiert. Statt jedoch diese Realität anzuerkennen, seine
Verantwortung wahrzunehmen und das Leben der Menschen in Deutschland zu
schützen, lässt Olaf Scholz mahnende Wissenschaftler:innen mit Schmerzgriffen von
der Straße räumen. Eine Biologin, die an der Berliner Charité beschäftigt ist, musste
anschließend einen Arzt aufsuchen.
„Wenn die Politik von Olaf Scholz so weit von der Realität entfernt ist, dass er
Wissenschaftler:innen mit Schmerzgriffen mundtot machen muss, wo führt uns das
hin?", fragt Lea Bonasera, Mitbegründerin der Bewegung „Letzte Generation” und
selbst Doktorandin.
„Es hat richtig wehgetan, und das völlig unnötig - das wird von der Polizei Berlin schon
als Bestrafung verwendet, um friedliche Menschen davon abzuschrecken, gegen die
Vernichtung unserer Gesellschaft, unserer Lebensgrundlage, unserer Kinder
Widerstand zu leisten. ", so Prof. Dr. Niko Froitzheim, Geologe an der Uni Bonn zu
seinen heutigen Erlebnissen.
„Obwohl es einfach gewesen wäre, mich wegzutragen, hat sich die Polizei
entschieden, mich mit Schmerzgriffen (ärztlich attestierte Überdehnung beider
Handgelenke) von der Straße zu zerren. Die Begründung: ich hätte eine Straftat
begangen und daher wäre es angemessen, mir Schmerzen zuzufügen. Verhängen
nicht Gerichte Urteile und Strafen? Ich habe an der Aktion teilgenommen, um auf die
wissenschaftlichen Fakten über die immer schneller eskalierende Klimakrise
aufmerksam zu machen – eine Entwicklung, die uns alle einer sicheren, lebenswerten
Zukunft beraubt, und die von Klimakanzler Scholz ignoriert wird." berichtet Dr. Nana-Maria
