Sorry for falling behind—I have a LOT of Pokémon Champions footage, and I needed somewhere to fit this into my schedule. I know that by now, Season 10 is about to start, and I do have Pokémon I trained for that, which will be coming up real soon. But so that I don’t completely miss anything so far, here are some matches for Season 9 up to Rank K. For this season, no Legendary or Mythical Pokémon are allowed. To that extent, I brought in Scrafty, Tinkaton, and Noivern. Currently, 2 out of 3 of them are in Pokémon Champions, but ironically, the one who isn’t, Scrafty, is the one with the new Mega Evolution.
No one playing in this video knew though, considering these matches were played mere hours before Pokémon Champions’ release.

Here begins an unusual property of this team, one I certainly didn’t see coming: it is very good at placing 2nd overall, and you will find more matches in this video where I placed 2nd more so than 1st, 3rd, or 4th combined. This extends into the higher ranks too.

I was the last to score a point, but once I did, I was able to defeat the other two opponents’ Pokémon too, all of them with Tinkaton. It feels quite satisfying to see the opponent’s Pokémon faint because an Alpha Tinkaton whacks them with a huge hammer. Too bad her type combination puts her at a disadvantage against both fully evolved Pokémon based on a mole, one of whom (Excadrill) is very common in online battles.

I wasn’t quite sure how to aim Hurricane, considering I had never used this move before in Legends: Z-A. I should’ve figured it is an unreliable move, considering its low accuracy in th regular games (which translates to a long startup time in Legends: Z-A). No matter though. I still placed 2nd.

One person got disconnected here, unfortunately, leaving only three people. I still managed to place 2nd overall. Not sure if it would’ve been 3rd had everyone successfully stayed though. (Probably not considering they were still at 0 points.

Admittedly, it is quite the gamble that I brought Tinkaton along, as she is a Ground-weak Pokémon that could nevertheless land a strong hit against Garchomp, regardless of if it Mega Evolves or which Mega Stone it uses, if any. All three of my Pokémon have an attack super-effective against Garchomp though, as I anticipated it would turn up a lot.

Music: Hyperspace Lumiose Pokémon
It’s also kind of funny seeing that giant hammer whack Eternal Flower Floette because it’s tiny (but a powerhouse…and even more so in Pokémon Champions, where Mega Floette is confirmed to have Fairy Aura). I tend to have Scrafty around though, who is built resiliently except against strong Fairy attacks, which Eternal Flower Floette has in droves.

I was the only one here with a customized profile picture. Also, someone else is using Tinkaton! Somehow, I kept knocking out their Tinkaton with mine despite not having any weaknesses to Fairy nor Steel. Also Noivern knocked out Tinkaton near the end despite having a disadvantage.

I was kind of confused as to what that little thing was hopping around and realized it was Tatsugiri. A regular-size one (or maybe even a small one). Tatsugiri is on my list though. I was stuck at 4 points for a while in part because there were two opponents with Garchomp who kept both coming after me, knocking out my Pokémon before I could defeat either of them.
