When night falls at Rose Garden, the tea party continues…only now they’re a bit more playful, whoever they are who participates in it. Rose Garden EX has far tougher stages than regular Rose Garden, and interestingly, it sticks with the tea party theme far closer than the initial set did, along with other motifs of Le Belle Époque, the Victorian Era, and other classy European stuff as Japanese pop culture perceives it. (In the United States, we had instead The Gilded Age. Leave it to Mark Twain to demonstrate the darker side of the era, that the new heights of luxurious living also came with greater misfortune for the impoverished.)

I’ll also showcase the last playable character I had not selected: Easel, Palette’s father and phantom thief, who might hang out around an area like Rose Garden, the gentleman that he is. You unlock him by finishing the story part of the Adventure mode (that is, clearing 10-10, Curvy Coaster), and seeing the ending and credits.

2 EX-05, Broken Dish, can be tricky because you have to choose the correct outermost fragment in advance of the platforms splitting back up and spreading out. I chose the one four platforms down on the outermost rim from the first fragment you are able to reach.

2 EX-06, Drawbridges, is named similary to 2-03, Drawbridge Paths, but it is totally different in approach: you need to find and hit a series of play buttons to lower the paths to allow you to the next one. The paths are narrow and winding, and the goal moves around on the top of the final set of paths that lower. Pick the wrong one, and you run out of time. Heck, you could run out of time before you even get there!

There is not enough time in 2 EX-09, Cupboard, to traverse all of the plates. It is dangerous to do so anyway, as the purple ones spin in all three dimensions, including the final one with the goal, which spins with the plate.

There is also not enough time in 2 EX-10, Suits, to travel the normal path. It’s risky, but the intended solution appears to be to reach the point representing the base of the spade symbol, then use a Spin Dash to get across the gap and skip the cspade base and the entire club symbol portion.
