With each month comes a new set, and in late May 2026, we had the set Paradox Drive, featuring the Paradox Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet. With each set comes, of course, a set of missions in Solo Mode that asks you to win using a minimum number of cards from that set, and this one is for the ones requiring 6 or more and features the Ancient Pokémon, Raging Bolt. (There is another deck I made later on for missions asking for 12 or more cards which will feature Future Pokémon.)

This does not carry nearly the power as the regular TCG’s Raging Bolt ex though. It is, admittedly, one of the weakest decks I’ve ever made. The whole set has Koraidon ex and Miraidon ex as standouts but not much else.

POKÉMON (8)
2x Raging Bolt (Paradox Drive)
2x Ho-Oh ex (Wisdom of Sea and Sky OR Deluxe Pack EX)
2x Pichu (Wisdom of Sea and Sky OR Fantastical Parade)
2x Mantyke (Secluded Springs OR Fantastical Parade)

TRAINERS (12)
2x Ancient Booster Energy Capsule
2x Area Zero
1x Juggler
1x Leaf
1x May
2x Poké Ball
1x Professor Sada
2x Professor’s Research

Energy Zone: Water, Lightning

Raging Bolt does an instant knockout of the opponent’s Active Pokémon through its Baneful Boom attack, but at the heaviest possible Energy cost: it needs a total of 5 Energy (2 Water, 2 Lightning, 1 Colorless), all of which need to be discarded. To get this to work, you need an exact sequence working in perfectly, which is more often than not unattainable during a match.

You start out with Pichu or Mantyke, who can contribute to Raging Bolt’s attack cost, but Ho-Oh ex is preferred because it can deal damage and attach 1 each of Fire, Water, and Lightning, putting you over halfway towards supplying the Energy cost for Baneful Book and bypassing the Energy Zone’s RNG involving multiple types. Usually, Ho-Oh ex will get you a point or two on its own.

You then transition over to Raging Bolt for the remaining points. If it’s a Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, using Baneful Boom wins you right then and there. Otherwise, Juggler and Professor Sada will help you quickly put Energy into Raging Bolt to use Baneful Boom again.

This was the best I could come up with for Ancient Pokémon that doesn’t involve Miraidon ex…
