DO *NOT* BURN ANY POISONOUS PLANT OR VEGETATION, EVEN IF IT'S LONG DEAD!
About a year ago, I hired an electrician to upgrade the electrical service to a building. He later told me there was a lot of poison ivy around where the new service was to come in. This is how I dealt with it, here in the early spring of 2024.
Don't try this yourself. The smoke can cause a worse reaction than just touching the plant. It's also illegal in certain parts of the world. You could burn something down or start a nasty fire, especially in dry areas. Don't overthink it, either. This is just a silly little video that I made for fun. I burned all the leaves away, but I'll be surprised if that kills it off. I suppose it's possible that the plant in the video isn't poison ivy. No matter -- whatever it is, it's cooked well done now. You and you alone are responsible for the results of your actions.
If it was poison ivy, it seems the songwriter had it right. The night before, there were just a few small offshoots and leaves. Two days later, it was as you see it in this video.
My singing is just something I do for fun. I'm certainly not a professional, don't read music well, and definitely don't want to be "nominated" for any form of contest, reality TV or anything like that. So don't do that. I don't consider myself that good at it anyway. As I often say, I thoroughly enjoy bellowing along with the radio. :-P (Yes, this has come up in the past.)
