Just a fun little adventure with a mid-1970s (1975-1976) Toro Carefree Electric lawn mower. It actually works pretty well, if you're patient and don't have a million acres to mow. I'd use it again. The cutting width is actually about 16 inches. It'd probably do even better with a new or sharpened blade. Apparently there was an optional grass bagging unit available.

Current drawn under reasonable load varies from 23-30 amps, and about 50 near the motor's stalling point.

This had been sitting in what is now the Keykeeper's garage for decades, and I rescued it from going to the scrapyard.
