Be aware that some types of outdoor power disconnects do NOT fully remove all electrical power from the outdoor unit!

The compressor within is a Copeland scroll model, and it's my understanding that these can sometimes start up and run backwards. I'm not sure if that's what this one momentarily did or not. See jaykay18's video here: youtube.com/watch?v=p6bMVcjxNLc .
